Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 20, 2026

Quiz Aloud is an iPhone, iPad and Mac flash-card app that listens for spoken answers. It is built so that what you say stays on your device. This policy explains what the app handles and where it lives.

Questions? Email quizaloud@bladon.ca. It goes straight to a real person. Emailing us is separate from the app, which never sends anything on your behalf.

The short version

What Quiz Aloud handles

When Speak question aloud is on, questions are read out by Apple’s built-in text-to-speech voice on your device.

What touches the network

Quiz Aloud does not send your content to us or to any third party. The only network activity is Apple’s own:

These are governed by Apple’s privacy practices.

Children

Quiz Aloud is made for children to use, with a grown-up nearby. It does not collect personal information from anyone, children included: there are no accounts, no names, no contact details, no voice recordings, no identifiers, no analytics and no ads. Nothing a child says or does in the app leaves the device.

Any purchase screen is reached only through an “Ask a Grown-Up” gate, which asks for a four-digit code written out in words and locks briefly after repeated wrong tries.

Your controls

Purchases

Quiz Aloud offers one optional one-time purchase that unlocks every quiz beyond the free ones. Nothing renews. If Ask to Buy is turned on for a child’s Apple Account, the request goes to a parent, and the quizzes unlock once it’s approved. Purchases are handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. Apple manages the purchase and your payment details; Quiz Aloud never sees your payment information.
